How to take care of your jewelry?
Whether it is a 100 year old heirloom or a recent favorite, knowing how to take care of your jewelry increases its longevity and value. Like everything else, the trick to keeping your jewelry looking its best is to properly clean it and take care of it!
Avoid Heat and spraying Chemicals like perfume, deodorant etc on Jewelry.
Do not use water or rubbing alcohol to clean the jewelry. Clean with a dry cotton cloth for best results.
Put it on last. Chemicals from makeup products can also severely damage your jewelry, so wear your favorite piece as the last step of your dress up.
Rotate Jewelry. Don't wear the same jewelry everyday. Too much use will wear it down sooner. Give your other jewelry some love!
Any jewelry that is not Gold (even gold plated and 925 silver) will start to oxidize if left in the open. To avoid discoloration, pack in an airtight container after use and store in a dark place away from direct sunlight.
